Duxford Advent Market

We're back this year!

The Duxford Advent Market is a festive German-style event selling a variety of Christmassy wares and crafts to help everyone get into the mood for celebration.

Founded in 2011, we aim to provide a fun evening for everyone in the true spirit of a traditional Christmas, as most villages and small towns in Germany do.   For one evening only, the event is held in and around the redundant medieval church of St John's,  which has been bypassed by modernisation and is a wonderfully atmospheric venue.  We host a wide variety of craft stalls, food, glühwein  and entertainment,  as well as a visit from Santa Claus, who takes Christmas stocking orders in his grotto.

Applying for a stall
You can apply for a stall from July until September 1 2022.  We assess all applications in September and make decisions about the best combination of stalls.  We take into account goods on offer followed by date of application. This enables us to have a good variety of different stall types and to always include (where we can) local vendors and new stallholders, as well as our "regulars".  You must sell predominantly new wares of good quality and have stock available to sell on the day.

Standards stalls are 1.8m (6ft) tables, which we can supply, or you can bring your own table of the same size.  We have around 20 pitches available inside St John's and room for approximately 6 out of doors (your own strong and winter weather-proof gazebo required).
