Sadly, we'll be taking a break from our usual advent market this year.  However we will be doing our best to  stage a special Christmas event in St John's, Covid-19 permitting.  Watch out on our social media pages for more news as the summer progresses, and save the date:

           Saturday 5th December 2020

The Duxford Advent Market is a festive German-style event selling a variety of Christmassy wares and crafts to help everyone get into the mood for celebration.

Founded in 2011, we aim to provide a fun evening for everyone in the true spirit of a traditional Christmas, as most villages and small towns in Germany do.   For one evening only, the event is held in and around the redundant medieval church of St John's,  which has been bypassed by modernisation and is a wonderfully atmospheric venue.  We host a wide variety of craft stalls, food, glühwein  and entertainment,  as well as a visit from Santa Claus, who takes Christmas stocking orders in his grotto.
